"City 22? They're sending you to there? Some of the boys down in the park were from there. Heard it got caught up in a plague of some sort. Wonder how it is now..."

2014. It's been a handful of years since we've all lost something. Small or big. But most of all, we lost total freedom. Total control of our entire planet. To what? To who? An empire. A intergalactic empire that consumes any and all that it encounters. Truly they have no limit to their potential, and no bounds to what they will or will not do. Our story takes place in the once bustling culture palace of Boston, Massachusetts, or well what has survived after the great Seven Hour War. City 22 they call it, a desolate place of slum-lands, beaches, that has recently recovered from a plague which left her streets with disease thus causing the city to become uninhabitable until now in which the Universal Union had so graciously cleaned the city of such a plague and now is filling in the surrounding overfilled cities with new inhabitants.

That enters you, the player. You have recently been notified in your ration package to be sent to City 22 as your current city is facing overcrowding. You've packed all you are told to pack and funnel onto a train or a ship, whatever the Universal Union provided for you to arrive at the City, but all come through her train-stations. Soon you will arrive in City 22, ready to start a new life, whether you may be a hardened conformist, looking to serve voluntarily in the Combine-Civil-Authority or in the Civil Workers Union, or maybe you don't conform to the laws put in by the Universal Union, and you keep to the more slummy parts of town, finding any way you can 'fight' what keeps your freedom away. Who knows? Maybe you are just a average Joe, looking to be a laborer in the city and live out your life normally, visit the local bar on the scummy side of town after work. Whatever you may be, the only limit is your mind and determination.
